Default Unquilted table runner need quilting ideas

I found an un-quilted table runner at the thrift store. It is in off-white, green and red. The center are red and green hearts in different prints. The center background is off-white and the binding is green. I need an idea of what kind of quilting pattern would be best for this? Something simple I'll be practicing my machine quilting.

maybe echo the hearts and experiment with some filler stitches. Leah Day's site has plenty of tutorials.

I helps to post a photo. I would at least stitch in the ditch around the hearts but not sure what the background and the rest of the quilt looks like.

If it already has a binding on it, you might want to just do some stitching around the hearts. If you try to quilt out to the edge you might end up with puckers. Does it have a batting in it?

Might be a good time to practice ruler work. Straight line cross-hatching.

It does have batting but not a hi loft by any means. I was thinking of leaning the binding undecorated to eat up any puckers. And doing just hearts on the inside border. But that inside area has got me stumped. Thank you for the tutorial heads up. I'll look at it today.
