    Default Using snips of leather

I've been drawn to leather scraps lately. I see them in various places such as Ebay, Etsy and other web sites. I want to sew on them, trim them and put little pieces of leather on craft projects, (things that you don't wash.) I'm thinking loops, protective patches, labels. Got some other ideas for me? Thanks.

I like using leather as small appliques on different things....a couple circles offset...hearts...simple shapes. I cut them with my Acququilt but they could easily be cut by hand.

Be sure to use a leather needle with them and be aware that your machine may not like the thicker pieces of leather. I go for the thinnest pieces of leather I can find.

A treadle machine works great for leather. My son-in-law has my treadle now for his leatherworking. (I gave it to my daugher, but he glommed on to it instead!)
