I have a Singer Inspiration. I have bought two walking foot attachments and neither will work. The last one I bought on Amazon and supposedly fit my particular model. My model number was listed under the Singer machines it was designed to fit. I attach the walking foot, then when I try to sew, the needle won't move. I think I'm attaching it correctly. I've followed the directions.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

Do you have the Singer 800# or dealer you purchased from? I have good luck calling Viking for help when needed.

My walking foot has a lever on the right side of it (not sure why! lol). First time I loaded it, that lever was below the knob where the needle is attached and the needle wouldn't work. I had to reload the walking foot with that lever above that knob. Does that make sense? Could that be what's happening to you?

The leaver arm from the walking foot has to "hook onto" the knob/screw above the needle -not above or below.

I did the same thing when I first tried a walking foot! I kept taking it off and putting it back on and it just wouldn't work; Then I did what I should have done in the first place, looked at the directions and it had a picture of what it was supposed to look like on the machine!
