Default Weights for wall hanging ?

I’m cutting out 4 snowman wallhangings (Christmas gifts) which are 30” long. There’ll be low loft batting and backing — since the finished project is lightweight, I’m worried it might curl so I’m thinking of stitching in 2 metal washers in the back or inside of 2 lower corners to make it hang decently. Years ago I made short drapes for the dining room and I sewed washers in the corners and i was pleased with how the drapes hung straight. Ideas or suggestions ?

    I would use washers too.

Mum used to sew a few pennies into a small pocket on the corner of curtains or drapes.

I'd use the weights made specifically for curtains, you should be able to get them at Joann's or Walmart, and they're fairly inexpensive. My mom used washers once and they rusted.

Definitely would want to make sure there was not risk of rust.

Another possibility would be to do a reverse hanging sleeve or triangles across the bottom with a dowel.

there is a product of metal beads on a string....like an old fashioned key chain....that is flexible and lies in the bottom of the hem of a curtain when you need weight along the whole bottom, not just on the seams or corners where a washer would be placed.

I just put a second hanging sleeve on the bottom, and put a dowel in while hanging, and remove to launder it.
