I just bought a low sewing hours and embroidery hours, pre-owned Viking machine for 1/4 of my budget. My dealer said I could return it before the month was out for the higher priced Janome I had gone in for, but I am sure I will keep it. Tested lots of different sewing tasks on it and I love it. I feel I have a better machine than the new one I was shopping for. Someone probably got it from their DH and hardly used it. Decide what features you have to have and then check out used machines. Take your time and good luck.

Um, I love my Husqvarna/Viking thingy, but it was not cheap! ;-)
