    Default what is minky sherpa?

I was looking at fabric and I came across minky sherpa

Its less expensive than the minky cuddle. Has anyone used this? is it as soft as the other minky?

I am thinking for the back of quilt

I doesn't look at all like regular minky to me. It looks thicker. And kind of clumpy.

I'm not sure if this is the same as a fabric I bought last summer at a quilt store in Saskatchewan - thicker than flannel, less fluffy feeling than minke. The picture in the link looks quite similar. I hope to use it as backing for a quilt for my son. The lady at the quilt shop said it was a new product and quilted up very nicely, and was quite durable as well.

I've seen this. Looks like fake shearling (sheep skin), but stretchy.

I found something like this in the remnant bin at Joann's, bought it and put in the cat bed as is, she seems to like it just fine.

Good idea! Please let us know what you think. At the LQS yesterday, I saw something that looked kind of like chenille and when I touched it, it felt like a soft minky. Beautiful! But I have no use for it right now, I wish I did

I used something similar for the back of my chemo quilt, without batting. It was warm but draped well. It did quilt nicely but I did spray baste.

I had a coat made of this and it is not “minky” soft, but feels nice in your hand, and kept me warm.
