...those dryer sheets you put in with a quilt to remove dye?

I want to wash a couple quilts I was unable to wash before making them.

    Thank you, ladies and gents!

Just found it on this site, duh!
Shout Color Catchers in the laundry section of your store.
Each sheet good for one use and it can go in the dryer.

Color catchers do not remove dye- they ( catch) dye that bleeds into the water- helping to keep it from migrating to other fabrics.

I use 3-4 color catchers and re-use them until they start falling apart. I use them when washing new fabrics and finished quilts.

When I dyed my own fabric and made rag rugs, I would buy 20 or so boxes of color catchers at Walmart at a time. Once I got a box that had nothing in it. So I would stand there and shake each box and toss it in my cart. Color catchers saved my bacon many times.

I THINK I read a Quilting article from this group that said they could be used in the dryer as well as in the wash.
And I did understand that they catch the dye, not remove it. (silly me) I was thinking they are squares like those dryer sheets. (again silly me for being lazy in the use of words) i know better...
I'm heading to the store today to see if I can find them.
    Thanks for everyone's clarifications!
