I did a double irish chain in navy and white for my DS and DIL. Her choice of colors. It turned out really pretty. My DIL loved it.

Recently there was an exhibition of red and white quilts in New York City. If you are thinking of a two color quilts, google red and white quilts, all of those would be great in navy and cream.

Look in the Main section on the August 12 entries for the entry For My Brother. You can find it by going to Search if you want. That is a wonderful quilt that just might be what you need. They did it in 3 colors and I thought you might add a third color in a little darker cream or a slightly lighter navy.

Thanks to all of you, You have suggested patterns I had not even considered. If I ever learn to use my camera, I will post pictures of the finished product.
