Wow Ckcowl, love your nautical quilt...

Just like Felinefanatic, I have yet to keep a quilt that I’ve made since I started quilting 7 years ago. But, I just purchased a king size wool batting so I can see one in my future...now to decide on a pattern and color. : )

[ATTACH=CONFIG]585386[/ATTACH]Most of my quilts are given away to family and friends, but I do keep those that take me forever and handquilt them for myself. This was my 1st pp quilt. I big stictched the stars in red, and then quilted with off white around the pp stars. After xmas it gets picked up.

Some beauties on this thread! After making quite a few quilts made for others, I did finish a quilt for us, and it is a beauty. Unfortunately, it is too heavy for our old and fragile bones, so it hangs on a nearby quilt rack, with a light, cheap store bought Christmas quilt on our bed. In the guest room, I do have one of my handmade quilts on top of a down-alternative comforter. I like to change things out for the season too, so am planning to finish a spring UFO this year.

Despite numerous encounters with my seam ripper due to wrong color placement or blocks turned the wrong way I still have a few errors that I didn't notice until the quilt was completely done. She Walz did the quilting.

I have a D9P that I had originally made for my mom and her nursing home bed and brought home with her passing and I have a simple, birthed whole cloth with a flannel backing that was to be for mom too. I didn't get the wholecloth made before she passed, it was to be a Christmas present. I went ahead and completed before Christmas in grief therapy.

I have my chicken quilt (Country Threads design) on the bed now (sorry, no photo but the dog is sleeping on the bed now and I don't want to wake him. The quilt is covered by a vellux blanket. I have a Christmas quilt but the chicken quilt has warm and natural batting and is warmer (vintage wool army blanket is under quilt).

I actually have not made one large enough for my queen bed. However, when it gets really cold I put on a few of my larger lap quilts over others for more warmth.

I have twin size Lover's Knot by Eleanor burns on my bed, then I hand quilted it. Actually I have several quilts for my bed and frequently change then off. My kids also have plenty of quilts on their beds as I have been doing it for 20 yrs. Still making and giving to friends and family

I have an applique (black background) on hubbs' bed. I have a sampler on my bed. I also have 7 tops to
