I have taken several classes from the national teachers at several 4- or 5-day quilt events: John Flynn, Carol Doak, Ellie Sienkewicz, Jeanne Kimball, Mary Sorensen, Eleanor Burns, Ricky Tims, and others.

From local quilt shops, I've taken several - blocks-of-the-month, Yellow Brick Road, Fat Quarter Fun (the pattern, not the book) and others I can't remember but it's been about a dozen.

Our quilt guild has Quilter's Day Camp - please see my separate posting on this for more details (I'm going to type that post right now, so give me half an hour).

At my quilt group we have done Stack n' whack, machine quilting, trapunto, quilt as you go and many others. We get some great teachers to help as well as other members showing us what they know.

Well, I have taken several classes on particular patterns. I have also taken two hand quilting classes, a trapunto by machine, and an applique class (last week) and I took a free motion class with Diane Gaudynski that was just eye opening and awesome!

Carol Bleven's Mastering the Bernina 820. Comes with the machine but sooooo much more than just the nuts and bolts of what it does. Bernina has 2 excellent "how to use" classes but this goes the step beyond.
I know, for the price I paid for that machine, they should build me a new sewing room, but this was a great course.
