Default What Type of Fabric Do You Use For the Background?

I'm going to attempt making a quilt with pinwheels made from charm packs. I found this just browsing for pinwheel patterns. The pattern mentioned Kona white. So do I just find a solid I think will work well with the colors, or does it have to be white?

It's your quilt....you can use whatever color you want Most patterns will show you how to put the blocks together, pick what colors that look / feel right to you.

It depends on what "look" you want. An off white or cream will give you an antique look. White or white on white can give a modern or crisp and clean look. A neutral in a grey tone will give you a civil war look. You can choose what matches your main colour choice.

You can use whatever you want. I have grown a fondness for the premium muslin. Here are some pictures with many different backgrounds. Enjoy the view...

Use whatever color works with your fabrics. I won't use solids-----------I always look for a tonal in the color I want.
