    Default Where can I sell??

I've been quilting for 18 years and I'm burned out. I quit quilting last summer and have been thinking about getting rid of a lot of tops (not quilted yet) that are just sitting in the closet. I probably will not quilt them. My shoulders can't take the stress any more and I can't afford to have them all quilted.

I would like to post them somewhere (with sizes and pictures) to sell. Does anyone have any idea where I could post them for sale? I have about 20 of them to get rid of.

    Thanks.

Colleen, my first thought was Etsy.

I have also seen quilt tops advertised on ebay. The most likely customer for your tops would be a new longarm quilter who wants something for practice.

Etsy would be good. Only $.20 to make a listing and they take a smaller % if you sell than Ebay does. Nowadays with so many people having quilting machines, there is a demand for tops. Way back when I started quilting, it was the opposite. People loved to make tops but didn't want to take the time to quilt them.

Facebook Quilters Classifieds is a really active site. Sew It’s For Sale(mentioned above) is a good site to. I'm new to longarming and would be interested in pieced tops to practice on. Please message me with what you have and pricing.

FaceBook has more than a few sewing/quilting sites. The one most of us use is "Sew It's for Sale". You will have to join this site in order to sell there, just click on "join: and the following day you can post pictures and prices. Read the rules and regulations before posting anything first. Good luck!!

You can also try Craigslist for your town. I have found some things there. I'd volunteer to quilt them and back them and then donate to Project Linus....but I'm thinking postage would be prohibitive. But, perhaps you could donate them to Project Linus or a local church? Good luck...I wish I lived close to you!

My first thought is facebook market place. Please do not sell your lovely work for less than the value it should have. Do some research online to see what they are really worth first.
