I have a vintage Consew on an EZ-Q frame. I'm still learning more and more about it. I still love to hand quilt, and have done some machine quilting with my regular Brother sewing machine. I'm old-fashioned, so I will probably always prefer hand quilting for things I want to pass on for a few generations.

I have an A-1 with a Compuquilter, and will be celebrating 4 WONDERFUL years this fall! Since I've added the Compuquilter (in January of this year), I do about 50% computerized (mostly the edge to edge) and 50% hand guided(mostly the custom work).

I've had a Gammill Premier, no stitch regulator, for about 5 years but I just quilt for myself, not as a business. Good luck on your business. You are practically a neighbor (I'm in Greeneville TN) so I will be looking forward to hearing more about your business when you are ready for customers.

I have a Nolting mid arm and I am so happy with it because now I can quilt bigger quilts and much faster. Wouldn't give it up for anything.

Unfortunatly, I can't afford a longarm so I hand quilt all sizes.

I prefer to hand quilt, it was the way I learned, and I myself don't much care for most of the longarm quilting. Just MHO.

I love my APQS Freedom with quilt glide, I have had it almost a year now and just starting to do for hire. No computerized for me, i love the free motion and also the lazer.

I have thought about a long arm machine. But I hand piece all of my quilts and there is something about the hand quilting to finish them off. Then I can truly say that each is handmade with love. The full integrity of saying hand made. Sometimes speed doesn't matter. Just the love of doing the piece.
