I need to get a new bag for projects and supplies for hand work and I am leaning toward a Yazzi bag. I don't want a really small one, but a good, average sized one with some pockets and storage space. Which one do you recommend?

I don't know much about the bags patterns that are out there. I do hope that ya get some answers from some of these knowledgeable quilters.

Never heard of Yazzi bags, but I love the ByAnnie patterns for bags and sewing organizers. Check out ByAnnie.com .

edit: Just looked up those bags so now I 'get it' that you are looking for readymade bags. Looks like there are lots to choose from.

If you decide to sew your own, using your favorite fabric, definitely check out the ByAnnie patterns.

Yazzi's are way too expensive for what you get. I would check around, or make your own. I do think they look nice, but cannot justify the price....too many notions and fabric to buy. Ha!

I have the large mini one. It's years old and still looks like new. I toss it in the washer and let it air dry when it needs a good cleaning. Right now while supplies last the maroon color bags are 25% off https://www.yazzii.com/color/maroon/

To me they look like glorified children's lunch totes....LOL!! Can't see paying that price when I could make one just as nice.

But then I'd be without one until I do get around to making it. Buying the quality mesh, vinyl, and hardware, adding the details of piping, etc and it won't be a cheap bag to make anyway.

I really like my Yazzii bag. It's very old and still looks great. Best money I spent for a quilting aid.

I just looked them up and I too am thinking about purchasing one. some are not over priced when you think about the time involved and the frustration of doing it. I would rather buy it Just my opinion

Think about how you like have your tools available to use. I have a similar bag that was intended for serger feet and tools. Honestly, I don't like looking through each page to find the item I want to use. Is it on page 1 or back on another page?

A double layer tackle box works better for me. Lots of storage, one lid to open, and all is right at the fingertips. The box holds everything I need and more; scissors, needles, bobbins, etc.
