I see all these great ideas and cool sewing rooms and I just had to re-do my room. Heck I deserve it, right?

I just bought one of those vanishing design walls....expensive but I wanted it. Add to that the kitchen island I bought a little while back to use as a cutting board and a second smaller kitchen island to use as an ironing board base with a Big Board knock off from my LQS. I am short and they are the perfect height. I know I could have just bought one kitchen island but the extra storage is great so I decided to buy a second one.

Now I just have to finish moving my current sewing room stuff around and get my hubby to put the second kitchen island together.

It is in the back of my head to knock out the wall between my room and the bonus room over the garage and expand out. I saw two beautiful studios on here that I am jealous of. I would have to win the lottery to do that though.....hmmm there is a casino about an hour away. ;)

    Take the gamble!!! LOL
It may not cost that much to add a doorway between the two rooms
    Sledgehammer: borrow one = free
look on DH's face when he sees the hole in the wall = priceless

Do you know someone who is handy that could give you a hand doing this? Seriously, sheet rock scraps, tape, paint, and a little lumber wouldn't cost that much :D:D:D

Unfortunately, when the house was built, we never finished out the bonus room (just studs and subflooring in there)so it would be a major undertaking.

I am having surgery in December and wont be working for 6 weeks. After that, if I have any extra money, I see a sewing studio in my future!

If Cement floor not so hard to do Vinyl tile, Could use 1 hole wall with sound proofing board can cover w/fab for a design wall, may be able to find reasonable contractor (don't laugh) paint yourself, as long as electrical in place little steps Good luck !!!
