I miss you all so much, I have been super busy making fairy garden mushrooms and fairy doors and haven't had any time for quilting or swaps. I hope to get back in the swing of things soon.

    have fun you all

had a very busy few months but have been keeping an eye on the swap thread. Sue has been very quiet on the board made a few posts but not seen much of her. Looking forward to getting back in to the swap. Already have a few things just need to decide what I am going to make and pick up a few things local to Newcastle and then get the pack in the post.

Havplenty pleased you have managed to get some a/c and hope your move goes smoothly I take it you are not moving far and it is not a move of your making but hopefully you have managed to find somewhere that suits.

Just catching up MANY pages --

Seeing eye dog -- you're lucky you're getting a dog. Saw on a TV show that miniature horses are being trained as guide animals. I'm sure a few places would frown on that one.

Favorite sewing gadgets I can't live without -- I think it's now one of Krystyna's "perfect men" ... and I don't even care if he has any scissors at all.

Heat -- just think back to the times before electricity and AC -- how Did people survive??? I can't imagine or even remember back before we got AC. It hasn't really been that long. I can't imagine NewOrleans in the midst of summer without AC. Than again, I can't imagine New Orleans in the midst of summer with AC -- peee-youuu! Place may look pretty and romantic, but it stinks on the best of days.

Well, I'm from New Orleans and it was many years before we got AC. As I remember, windows were open and all those window fans were running. I joined the military and moved around. Once, I visited Mother in July and her AC broke - it was pretty rough for the few days till it was fixed. July in New Orleans is like none other I've never really liked the cold from the AC on my skin, but it is way better than that miserable heat in New Orleans. And my DH would agree with you about the stink - mold and mildew personified.

~ to my secret pal: you didn't note if you like candles on your sheet. you did note a lot of what you like on your sheet but not candles. i wonder.... i have a lot of candles and my soy candles are not faring well in this heat. i haven't been to a craft event in a coupla months so haven't sold any. please lemme know if you would like a candle or two.

~ also i was able to touch most of what you mentioned on your sheet. there was lots there so i gotta get a big box. now for the candy you mentioned i am not so familiar with. it is too hot to send chocolate but the other one you listed, where might i find that? lemme know that too.

Hav, If I'm your sp, I like candles. So do tell us who your sp is. What candy is it that you're looking for?

Krystyna, You have to love family, but you don't have to like them. haha!!

My sp is north of me. I might pass by her state when we go on vacation.

Personally I only use cotton, and generally the Sugar 'n Cream brand. Holds it's shape, affordable, easy to work with, great colors.
