    Pennyquilter your blocks are adorable!

I have several different ones I'm thinking of making. I tried one and it didn't turn out as well as I'd like so I guess it will be mine. I'll try one of the others to see if it comes out better.

Penny, I just love your blocks, they are so cute. Is it your own design or did you have a pattern?

I made a Halloween throw this weekend with 8 in blocks of fabric and the back is purple sweatshirt fleece. I did not add any batting and the quilting is the spider's web. I want to make some 3D spiders to go on the back. It was so fun to make I might make one for each one of my grandchildren.

Marybeth, that's super cute. Like a Halloween ISPY. My girls hardly ever put batting in small quilts they make. They say their babies can snuggle it better and Texas is usually too hot for batting lol.

Oh and LOVE your spiderweb quilting!

I went to a retreat in Indiana last week and had so much fun working on my 4 sets of funky blocks. Sorry I don't know how to add pictures but hope you enjoy the blocks. Will try and mail them in the next few days

Thanks sheriR, I was a little worried on how to make the spider web, so I went online and found a how to draw a Spider web. I figured it was the same as sewing only I was using thread instead of a pencil. it worked real nice. Now I will have to try it with batting!

I am also thinking of trying it with other designs. Like quilting a picture of a house on a log cabin quilt, or stars, etc.

I think this is my favorite part of quilting, there really is no wrong way to do something, it is just something I haven't yet tried!

Marytoddliz, I love your spider quilt. Lots of fun fabrics. I'm not very good & haven't tried the quilting aspect much. Would you mind sharing the site you found online to draw a spider web? Might be good practice for me.

Clever to quilt pictures on your quilt. Did you draw it on first. And if so, what did you use?

http://www.ehow.com/how_4487563_draw-spiderweb.html here is the website where I found how to draw a spider web

I sewed the top to the back with the pillow case method cut corners and turned and stitched the opening by hand, about 12 inches on bottom of quilt.

then folded the quilt in half,, pressed it then in half again and pressed it. I then opened it up and with the back side up (the Purple side) I sewed the cross from border to border. side to side and top to bottom. Then from corner to corner, so I had all 8 sides stitched. Then starting in the middle I just started making loopy stitches from one seam to the next smoothing the fabric as I went out.

I was thinking of making a Tut because sometimes it is easier to see that to hear! Would you want me to do that?

Wow, I'd love it if you made a tutorial. I am a very visual learner. Thanks for your inspiration!
