Well, you are so right, the lighthouse is not in Kansas. In fact, I saw my first light house in New York on our trip to Niagra Falls and I loved it. I am a huggy person and I love to hug everyone.

How about coasters?! PM me for her address. (More fun!)
Great idea. How about coasters using some of the fabric we used in our self portraits?

I love to see the process, thanks so much for posting, everyone will need to post a photo of their mug rug before they are mailed

Dot, I love your self portrait that ended up as your avatar. Are you going to make another one? I started, was going to write Express across the top and Yourself along the left side. Then I was going to make a silhouette and fill it in with stuff that I like. That is where I got stuck. I could not find a picture of a woman's silhouette that I liked. I will hit it again this weekend.

That's not my self portrait. It's from our hostess I think.
    Mine is much more abstract.

Stand in front of a lamp, so your silhouette is on the wall and have someone take a picture. Then scale it down and trace it onto a pattern and cut it out on material.

I'm using my avatar as my self portrait mug rug. I have never had to design a face, especially my own. I think it is coming together at last. I really like these colors, and yes my hair is white.

OK decided to show you all the first one I did and decided to keep for myself...The one I'll be swapping has been revised and has many adjustments...So you'll have to wait and see that after it's swapped and posted by partner...
