    Default Finally getting organized!

    Hello,

I am finally getting my small sewing corner organized in my dining room. DH bought a bureau and we are using the old one downstairs for my crafts! I'm so excited!

And that's how it starts!! You will gradually need more space and finally a whole room for all your stuff!! Congrats to you for having a dedicated space for yourself! Most of all-have fun!

One step at a time and try to keep inventory of what you have. Not only does fabric multiply but so do other notions. It can get costly over time.

Good for you! I'm in the process of organizing my sewing space and it's slow going. I put it off too long.

It always feels nice to have an organized sewing space... You're on your way.

Because I refuse to turn my one guest bedroom into a sewing room, I sew all over the house. Ironing board set up in the guest room, fabric storage in the guest room, sewing machine in the master bedroom, cutting on dining room table. It's maddening! But it works.....in my own scattered fashion.

I have a dedicated room for my hobby, but I still "room hop" because my hubby wants me near him. It works!

    Good for you!

I just got some free cabinets I plan on painting and doing the much of the same. Goodness....fabric gets out of control quickly!

Now that is a good suggestion...an inventory of items owned and used. Such a basic but good idea. It happens that I buy an item because it's on sale and I'm pretty sure (but not certain) I need it and often have two at home!! I'm taking inventory soon.
