    If hubby has a drill press, I would have him drill holes in each peice of wood except bottem and top, run a dowel through it (wood or metal) and them glue top and bottom to ones below and above it and that would make it more sturdy.

    TEELER you are so witty. This post has been fun. Some chuckles for the morning. And all the duct tape suggestions. Joannes has printed duct tape, in all sorts of designs so you could really make it special. when there is a will there is a way!!! Nothing is stopping you!!
