There is a quilt show at the Octogon House in Washington Township on July 30 & 31. The hours are: Saturday 9-5 & Sunday 10-4. There will be displays of quilts on the grounds, in the barn and in the house. The house is located at 57500 Van Dyke just north of 26Mile on the West side of VanDyke. It sits very close to the road and it can't be missed. There will be vendors & there is a $5.00 admission .

I don't know what time I will be able to be at the show but thought it might be fun if we could identify ourselves as quilting board members in someway so when we see a certain thing on another person we would know they are a qb member. I was thinking of some sort of a name tag that you would have from a guild or anything else. I have one done in redwork that is an old fashion lady sitting at a sewing machine & I will wear a lt. blue T shirt with the log cabin design on it. Is anyone else in agreement with this idea or has a better one.

No it is Van Dyke, you might be getting it confused with the M53 freeway which is the bypass. Some people call it the Van Dyke Free Way as Van Dyke use to be M53. The show is just N. of 26 Mile and you can't miss it, it sits very close to the road.
