Below are some pics of a quilt that I finished last night. I've been working on making some Christmas gifts, so needed some patterns that would be quick to piece and this one fit that description very well. The top went together very quickly, and was made from a Moda layer cake of "Gypsy Rose" fabric collection. The pattern is called "Ashley's Journey" and is from the book called "Piece of Pie: Layer Cake Friendly Quilt Patterns" by Brenda Bailey and Bonnie Bailey. The overall size is 54" x 72". I free-motion quilted it using my sewing machine.

This quilt will be going to my wife's sister, Karla, for Christmas. I hope she likes it! :D

Eddie, Karla's quilt is gorgeous. Colors are bright, yet subtle. She will cherish it.

Beautiful! If Karla doesn't like it I'm sure it could find a good home with one of us.
