2 UFO Art Quilts finished!
Hey all, here are pics of two different UFO art quilts that I finally finished. I've been experimenting with skewed shapes, so that's why they don't look square in the pics (they're not LOL).
The first one was an experiment in layering using home dec fabrics, painted batting and hand painted tie stabilizer material and other fabrics to create texture. The layered pieces were then appliquéd to a slinky piece of garment fabric from my grandmother's house, sandwiched with another piece of the slinky fabric and quilted. It's bound with more of the hand painted tie stabilizer fabric.
The second was an experiment using the felting attachment on my PQ1500 to attach various fibers to a piece of green home dec fabric from my grandmother's house. This was sandwiched with hand painted batting, and 4 scraps of quilting fabric and lightly quilted. That was then appliquéd to the white background which was then sandwiched with more batting and the whole thing quilted. It's bound with white rattail.
