I too have started the braid quilt. What I did was center my ruler on the center square, and trimmed, the other edge. moved the ruler ,centered and trimmed all the way. I am making it as big as my bed or untill I run out of fabric. It really is a easy pattern to do.

all beautiful french braids, different looks from the choices you use, unlimited looks, fun putting it together, but then there is the quilting to do.. ugh
