    I really love this quilt. The medallions are a combination of sunflowers and New Mexican suns. The dark gold you chose really highlights the blue and red. Super use of colors and pattern.

    Thank you for all the nice comments. The main block is called the "wagon wheel", but if I search for that block pattern by that name the matches that come up are more circular/dresden-ish. It must have a different name. The block could be used to look more flower like such as sue.ross.8782 mentioned. The accent fabric that looks Gold/Cheddar to some was actually a Kona color called "hay". I couldn't think of anything else that would really work with the Repro Red & Blue fabric that we were given, plus I had it in my stash...win, win! The last quilt I posted a picture of was a red quilt. This quilt has the identical setting, but I just made the alternate blocks in (2) colors on this one. I really enjoyed the creativity this BOM offered

    Oh my that's a lovely quilt - wonderful fabric/color combination and I love the consistent block pattern! Beautiful finish
