I highly recommend Ann Peterson's class on Craftsy. I took that class and it was indeed well done in every respect. I have completed one project-a quilt that measures 97 X 87 inches. It is more contemporary in nature and I had to do it in columns. I had three sections and divided my batting and backing accordingly. It worked very well and the bulk in the harp area was so easy to manage. It is not obvious that it is done in sections. I need to wash it and take a picture which I hope to post soon. Ann Peterson recommended spray basting but I do not like chemicals floating around so I used Elmer's school glue. This class is for anyone who likes to finish their own quilts and is looking for a bit of 'help' to make the process easier to manage.

You did a fantastic job, thanks for sharing, and for giving those UFO blocks a new home.

Mommessy, did you hand or machine sew the back sashing? Did you run into any unexpected problems? Your work is really neatly done. I bought her class too and have been thinking about giving this a try. Thanks for sharing your quilt and experience with us.

Jeanharville, I hand stitched the back smashings down. No real problems. I just took my time and tried to sew straight! This whole process was all new to me. I've just gotten into machine quilting in the past few years.

I have become addicted to these Craftsy classes! Bought Cindy Neehman's (sp) today and have all of Leah Day's! I think they are much more fun to watch than most tv shows!
