This quilt was made for my oldest daughter. She requested a king-size quilt in Tiffany Blue and Brown. I used a variation of a block called Jared Takes a Wife. I added the paper pieced borders. Afraid the picture is not very good but it was too big to hang on my stand (112 inches square). I started this quilt about 4 years ago and just completed it this year. This was my daughters Christmas present this year.

Beautiful quilt. How did you handle the quilting? I'm at about that stage with a queen size quilt for my DD and am trying to decide whether I should attempt it or send it to the LAQ.

I had wanted to wait until I was more proficient at longarm quilting myself. I rent time on a machine at my local LQS. However, they were about to trade their APQS millenium machines for a Bernina longarm. The table on the Bernina longarm was not big enough to hold my quilt. So I just did an all over meandering pattern on the quilt. Not sure if you can see it in this photo.
