It's called Grids & Grommets, by Indygo Junction. It uses curtain grommets. The handle is stitched after it is put through the grommets. I found this tapestry type fabric at WalMart, but have made it out of just about any kind of fabric, including apholstery! My next one is out of a material that looks and feels like embossed leather.

My grandson loves Elephants, this is for his mother.

Are the grommets hard to do when they are that big?

No, the problem is you have two layers of fabric and one of batting, the grommet comes with a template and after I cut the hole through all the layers, I separate the layers and trim out 1/4" of batting all around to thin out what fits inside the grommets. Had a terrible time the first time, then realized it was easier to put it on the table and use body weight to push down. I was trying to hold it in the air and push together between my thumb and forefinger. Dah!!

I hope I fixed the pic

It's really a cut bag. I make a lot of totes, and this would be a nice addition.

    Make that a "cute" bag.

I really like it! I've used upholstery fabric before and it really holds up!

    Are there any pockets?

I just bought this pattern last week at a quilt show. Any hints about making one? or is it pretty easy to assemble. The instructions look pretty straight forward. Took note of your hints about the grommets. Cute bag.
