Default Another custom quilted panel for charity

I just finished binding another baby quilt for charity. Wanted to quilt three more baby quilts that are sandwiched and ready to go (another dinosaur, a pieced pastel with embroidery and a Warm Wishes) but my neck was killing me from my intense quilting marathon, so am putting the next three on hold until I get my own projects done for Christmas. I'm a little overwhelmed at this point and am afraid I won't get everything done. I still have to design and make two name banners (one train and one fire truck) for the grandsons (3 yrs. and almost 3), stuff and do the hair on a set of Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls for our newest grand daughter (8 weeks), & make a Warm Wishes quilt backed with Minkie & matching pillow cases for the 3 yr. old. Our middle son, wife, 2 kids and 2 German Shepherd are coming Dec. 19th thru the 30th, then dog sitting for our daughter until the 4th of January, so will have a two week hiatus at Christmas.

I love doing the quilting on the panels though, but just need a rest from it for awhile.
This panel was a Timeless Treasures Splash Sea panel. I'm still slower than molasses, but have been trying different ways to transfer designs along with practicing FMQing. The rope border was drawn on Press and Seal with a Frixion pen (don't use a permanent marker as some of the pen may transfer to the thread or fabric) A flat white artist's eraser and the eraser end of the Frixion pen make for easy removal of the Press and Seal. I scanned the last border fabric and enlarged the whale design on poster board and drew around it for the final border. The waves were done on my DSM using the serpentine stitch. Hope some little child will like it.

That is absolutely adorable. You done a fantastic job on it. The quilting on it fantastic. You should be proud. I know it will be truly loved. You are going to be a busy bee for awhile with all the projects you are doing. I'm sure everyone will be tickled with all you are making.
