    Hello all ,just saw the "interlocling chain quilt, andit is great. The directions to cut a 2-7/8by5/34 .How do you do that?

    First you cut a strip 2 inches by 7/8 inch and then measure and cut a length of strip that measures 5 and 3/4 inches. Most quilting rulers are measured in 1/8 increments. (That way, 3/4 inches would be 6/8).

    I believe your quilt is Chain Link from the book Link to the '30s
    by Kay Connors and Karen Earlywine. I just checked the book out of the library and a much scrappier version is there. Yours is lovely. I have hopes of making one someday using fabrics in my stash. Ann in TN

    Welcome back, Deb! Glad to see your feeling up to working on your quilt projects. Love your quilt. I have a bed runner in the works which is somewhat similar but not just exactly which I did in peach to rust shades and really like it. I'm getting ready to start quilting on it. Will keep this one for myself and make another one more orangey for my GD in CA. ;D
