Default Arriving in Bermuda - a quilt top

I had a good amount of aqua fabrics, in mostly scraps and fat quarters. I also had many assorted leftover pieces of white and natural muslin. I was able to really utilize most of those scraps in this lap-sized quilt that reminds me of tropical waters and the white homes along the shore.

The pattern is called China Girl (done in pinks) from the Jan/feb 2011 issue of Fons & Porter Love of Quilting magazine.

Oh you are so right, it sure does look like the waters of the tropical islands. I love this one so much!

I love it in aqua. Isn't if funny how color makes such a difference?

Lovely, calm colors, beautifully done. It would be fun to quilt fish on it.

This is SO beautiful! Aqua has been my favorite color since the fifties! It seems that there are just two different aqua blocks and then the 2 white pieces? Is this right?
