    Thank you everyone for your input when I asked about the pink satin ruffle. Seemed like alot of you were on the same train of thought as I was.....it might have been a bit too pink but would work for a little girl. But I decided against the ruffle - mostly because I didn't want to do the extra work

    I opted for a purple border and binding. I was concerned that the purple blocks would be too plain next to the ballerinas, so I quilted in a flower on each block. Not sure if the flowers show very well on the pictures - but I am happy with how the quilt turned out
