I happen to be working on a batik quilt as we speak. I have been keeping all of my batik scraps separate from the rest. Now I know what to do with them. Awesome quilt!

No I didn't......I just sewed 2 pieces together, then ironed open, put a straight edge on a side, layed another piece over a side, sewed down, pressed open, & did another side.......Sometimes I would make my pieces bigger then my square ruler and turn my square til I liked how it looked, then cut around the square ruler.......What was cut off was the start of my next square.....Lots of fun......By cutting your squares that way they are always perfect squares.......I then just put sashing on both sides.
