    Those are super cute. I like the lighter blue but am in the minority. You should go with your instinct. Either color would be lovely.

    How about 4 patches using the 2 blue colors- then aopplique the bears and balloons on top of that? More work, I know!

    what does the back side of the darker blue look like? Sometimes, I use the back side to get just the right shade of sky blue I want. Looking forward to seeing the finished quilt.

    Not sure if I thought this way when I picked out the fabric. I do like the front of the darker blue. The back might work but it shows a lot of thread weave, would that still be okay? The lighter blue tends to take on the green color in the balloons, but the back might also work, it is more subtle. Here's a pic of the backs.

    Dark back left, Light back right. There are to be 3 white stars on the background also.
