My retired builder husband wanted to close in our back porch and I kept saying oh no I love my porch and I don't want to be boxed in. I love the view of the Sandia Mountains and sometimes I would take my sewing machine out there and quilt (in the summer). One day the wind blew up and scattered my fabric pieces all over the place and that did it, I said ok you can close it in. Now I can quilt all year round. It faces south so in the winter it just draws in the heat and we have yet to turn on the central heat since we did this unless it is a cloudy day and then we put a fire in the wood stove. Also in the summer it is in the shade so it is so cool and keeps the house cool too. Why why why did I wait???
