Default A BH Stringed X (a fun pattern to do)

This is one of my favorite quilts and I have made many. This is a Bonnie Hunter pattern, Stringed X. My two oldest grands ages 9 and 6 foundation pieced the strips. It was a great beginning sewing project for them. The small french braid border was done by using half hexagons, a great method for this type border. I cut all the hexagons on my Accuquilt Go, and believe me when cutting hexagons this is the way to do it. (Forgive the poor picture quality. Had to use a phone camera.)

Your quilt is very colorful. That is a great idea to do with the grandchildren.
