    In our shop we use gray thread for all piecing. It's a neutral that goes with everything and remember, it's not going to be seeen, just holding your pieces together. Now, quiting the top - that's another thing altogether!

    Just did a baby quilt with the gray and yellows! Loved the colors but went to three shops in order to get what I needed,,,,love, love, love your collection! Isn't it fun to achieve so many "firsts"?

    Love your fabric...I have found a grey or taupe colored thread will blend with almost any color of fabric that I sew. Good luck on your project!

    You will do just fine. Take it slow and easy...rushing is when I goof. The fabric is lovely...can't wait to see the finished product.

    No you aren't biting off more than you can chew. Just take your time and come here and ask for any help you may need.
    Keep in mind that making a quilt is all straight sewing.
