I have made many of these, and I made one change.
I wasn't happy with the loop/button closure at the top,
so I used the magnetic 2 piece snap closure. You can add the snaps during construction. Just a suggestion on my part. :)
I love the look of the loop/button closure, but it doesn't stay closed very well. Thank you for the suggestion on the magnetic snap. I just bought a few and plan to try that on my next one!

I'm sure the pattern for the mini bag is similar to the large bag (which I made). It would be very easy to change the length of the strap. You just need to change the length of the fabric/pellon strip you use for the strap. I plan to do something similar to my next Bow Tuck bag because I like to carry purses over my shoulder, and the current strap-length is just a little short.

Yes, it was fun, and the payoff at the end (a bag I love) is the best reward! :D

I'm not sure what tute you saw, but the one I referred to is: http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-55016-1.htm

Just wanted to thank you all for your kind comments. It makes me smile reading through them. I think I am seriously hooked on Bow Tucks Totes and quilting! I love to create, but don't have the talent for painting. It feels a little like I can "paint" with fabric!
