    Default Boy/Girl Twins

A former co-worker asked me to make baby quilts for a favorite niece. She is due this summer, with boy/girl twins, pretty exciting! I met her at a quilt shop and she immediately saw what she wanted, I love when that happens. She had a rough drawing of her idea. She wanted the surname in BIG letters in center of quilt and bright fabric for borders. Simple design, what's not to like. I have finished the embroidery and piecing portion, phew, took a while. I had fun doing this part of it, picking the right fabrics for applique, the thread selection and discovering neon thread, how fun. Next is layering and quilting.

Close up of heart embroidery, I really like this heart and will use it for other projects.

Love the boys robot quilt and the hearts in pink. I'm sure the babies will adore them.
