Alright halloween is coming up and my husband and I have a family party to go to. We decided on being pirates together. I found this amazing bustle skirt I want to make but want to make sure my measurements are correct and for someone to tell me how much fabric to buy sense I'm smaller then the patter.

Ok here is the picture.

my waist is 33"
Which means the 3 ruffle pieces are going to be 49 1/2"
and the skirt base is going to be 99"

I'm keeping the length on all the pieces the same 8,5,10,15, and 20

How much fabric do I need? Are my measurements correct? Is there anything I am missing?

Here is the website I found it on. Thanks! Enjoy!

Please take a picture when you both are dressed up for the party and post it. This is cute. Great job.

What size is the pattern going by?
I would think that teh pattern wouldn't be so much more because you haev alot of give when you gather the fabric....so I would just buy the amount the pattern says and if you have extra use it in a crazy quilt!

By my math, if you can get 54" wide fabric, you will need 2 and 2/3 yds. You will have to piece the largest ruffles, but that should not be a problem. Good luck with your project. I love making halloween costumes!!

Sadly I can't find how much fabric she used anywhere on the website. 2 and 2/3 sounds like a pretty good amount.
