    ok, I need to know more. I love this block.

    What exactly "is" a border fabric. How does it differ from regular fabric.

    Also, I don't see "stripes" :/

    you'll have yardage that's either printed or unprinted and along one selvedge edge it will have a print that co-ordinates with the body of the fabric. it might be little people marching along the edge or flowers. most often it's a symmetrical pattern and it's separated from the body of the fabric by a solid color band or strip that's also printed on. that's a border print.

    a stripe is either printed on or woven in and it travels along the length of the yardage. it usually repeats itself all across the fabric, wof. and it usually runs in the same direction as the selvedge.
