    I like the lighter fabric next to the white blocks. To me, it looks cleaner and brighter against the white background in the blocks. It could just be the lighting in the pictures, but the first one (greener fabric) looks too dark, and appears to be too much of a contrast with the white blocks.

    I prefer the second green. It complements the blocks better. The other fabric is nice as well, but it dulls the butterflies. The green makes them look like they're in a meadow.

    I agree. The lighter fabric seems to blend better with the blocks.

    if you have more dark green, your blocks would look great if you did a skinny dark green strip around each one before you add background fabric of the lighter green. but even without that, they look great.
