    Default Caswell Quilt

This is the Caswell Quilt, designed by Corliss Searcey of Austrailia, inspired by the Caswell Carpet that is housed in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC. I completed it two days ago after working on it for 22 months while in the midst of designing a new home, building it, and moving from my farm I had lived at for 49 years. I had posted a question about quilting it here and promised that I would post a picture of it when completed. It is hand appliquéd wool on cotton and hand quilted. It will hang on a wall above my staircase in my house. I love it

Wow! Wow! Wow! Absolutely beautiful! I admire not only your exquisite, detailed work but the amount of effort to hand applique and hand quilt this is quite impressive. Congratulations on your fabulous finish! You must be very proud to display this in your new home.

    Beautiful!

Gorgeous quilt! I love the detail and certainly admire anyone who has the patience to stick with a job that long! Well worth it! I especially like the muted colors...makes it more regal...IMHO

It is fabulous! I really enjoy wool applique. So nice to not have turn edges under and it is so luxurious looking.
