Default Cattails in the Meadow ready to quilt

This is my very first paper pieced project and I loved doing it. There are many mistakes but I am happy to have done it at all. It is Judy Niemeyer's Cattails in the Meadow. The colors are not perfect but I wanted to use my stash and not purchase any fabric, especially since I was unsure of how to do it. Thanks for looking.

I was just eye-balling the cattails by the side of the road a couple days ago wanting to stop and cut a few. I love them and this quilt is the most wonderful representation of them on a quilt I have ever seen! Needless to say I love it. The fabrics are perfect too. You would never know you didn't hand pick each one for this top.

Wow, you should be so proud! I LOVE the colors!!! Absolutely love the black contrast! And I think it's spectacular for your first paper piecing project! Kudos on a job well done. Remember, we are our own worst critics!
