That is gorgeous and I love the extra pieces. Your friend is very lucky. Great job tying the pattern into Nevada also :)

How difficult are purses to make? I have been admiring home made purses since last year and I am still afraid of them. I guess I should just bite the bullet and try one. Maybe ?!?

Oh!! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you all.. so much! It means so much to me to have such talented quilter's respond favorably to it.

nikki ... Purse making is like quilting, you can't stop once you try it. It just takes some time and sewing. The process of picking out the pattern and design is every bit as fun as quilting too.

This one is a made up one as I went along. But, pretty basic. I usually change up patterns to my liking anyway, so it wasn't much of a stretch.

very pretty bag and the accessories are such a wonderful touch too. did you design it? you did a great job on it. sounds like you might need to take a little vacation here in alaska and hold a purse workshop. what a great write off that would be. hmmmm!

That purse is just lovely!! No wonder your friend loves it! You should be proud to put your name on it! Try teaching, most of us love to hear from people like you. If you can make it, you can teach it.

I know how you feel; I was the same way. They aren't that difficult - my current bag (pic) is from Simplicity's 3828 (although that pattern does have an error in it and I made a few design changes). I am picky though - my bags need to zip - I've made several cross-overs and big totes; my next one planned is going to be a quilted bag.

Thanks so much girls! Your so kind.
quilter2B, your purse is lovely. Thanks for showing it

I entered it into the purse contest at sewingpatternreview.com just to see if maybe I could place with it. I have never entered anything I have made, I guess I am coming out of my shell a little. .... LOL!
