    This is so very cute! Your fabric choices are perfect, and I especially like the striped binding. I think you may have inspired me to make just a few of these blocks, perhaps as a table runner for my brother and SIL. They live in a rural town where chickens are allowed, and during a windy thunderstorm recently a chubby hen with slightly ruffled feathers somehow blew into their yard and has been gobbling up their garden bugs ever since. They haven't tried hard to catch her, though they have a small chicken coop from an earlier time. They have asked the neighbors if they're missing one, but they can't really advertise that they have a stray chicken, as they would a dog, because, as my brother said, "People around here eat chickens!"

    My three-season porch is done up in chickens, and I've thought about making this pattern many times for out there. One of these days I'll just have to do it with a green background, so it looks like free range chickens!! LOL
