How VERY SPECIAL. I envy you. I am SO sentiment; and love finding and having 'the past' (and not just my family's....I love thinking of that someone having used or created this 'something') as part of my future!!!!! NICE find. Enjoy!

The second quilt from men's trousers takes me back to my childhood.

Grandma made four of these from Grandpa's old dress trousers for the beds at the summer cottage way back in the '40s.

When clearing out the cottage after Dad passed on in 2008 (I had to put the cottage up for sale - couldn't afford to keep it) I found Raccoon critters had gotten into the cottage and decided to shred & chew up the quilts to make their own beds.

It was so heartbreaking to see them that way - none of them could be salvaged.

I had such fond memories of cuddling up in them when I went to sleep on chilly nights.

Seeing yours really make me yearn to have one of Grandma's
