The denim rag is for "Soon to be" SIL (Tony). It is/was a Xmas present that didn't get complete, he opened a his gift of 1/4 completed. DH (Tom) had asked why his 'initial' was on some one else quilt?

The Thread Catchers are door prizes at retreat in a couple of weeks. If you are there . . . you could win one.

    T is for Tony

Great work. Did you put something on the back of the denim quilt? I want to do one but someone said you don't do that and she'd never sewn in her life. So, I stopped. I love the look for using it in the car but a flannel backing is my fav on everything else. Thanks for sharing you beauties and for your expert answer.

    Blessings,
    Ruth

Do you have a pattern for the thread catchers? I love the ones you made!

I used flannel. BUT not as a 'back', the denim (old jeans) was cut into 6.5" squares as was the flannel. I put the denim and flannel wrong sides together. I work them as one (in another denim rag I sewed a X thru the block), you just sew. And then lots of clipping.
