I've been going nuts with making this star (posted about it here http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-105315-1.htm#2697677 )

so I did a mock up block to see if the star would fit, messed up and had to make another one, but this time I just made an embroidery design for the star and will let it rag out.. BUT now I'm wondering is the block supposed to look like this? It just seems so.. well bias-y if that's a word and well.. just wonky... I trimmed it down, but I don't know if I trimmed to much or what.

Has anyone else made this block? Did you have any problems with it?

I don't know if it's supposed to look like this or not, but I like it.

Since it is a Crazy Churndash Star, I imagine you did it correct.

No matter, I would like a quilt with blocks like this.

I kind of like the wonky look you got. Can't wait to see the finished quilt. Keep us posted.

From the picture I saw in the book it's supposed to be wonky.
    I really like yours.

They are supposed to be wonky! Yours looks great. I like the rag idea for the star!
