This quilt pattern is in the Sept/Oct issue of McCall's quilting. I had been searching for an idea for youngest DGD's quilt, and when I saw this, I knew it would work. Hopefully she will enjoy it for years to come. There is a LOT of applique, and I changed the borders a bit, using machine embroidery instead of some of the applique. I hope to have it finished by Christmas.

Unfortunately, the embroidery in the border puckered somewhat, which may make the quilting a little difficult. Any ideas, anyone?

She will love it! What a pretty quilt! I'd try steam and spray starch on the puckered area....Great job! :D

I love that quilt. I love anything with flowers. Great job.

Wouldn't the fabric on the back of this quilt be the perfect thing for backing on your quilt?
